Directions from East Kilbride
Take A726 Strathaven. When you enter Strathaven, the Golf Club is on your left, carry straight on to the traffic lights and take left. Follow road up hill and take 2nd left, sign posted Hamilton. The Hotel is 4th left along this road.
Directions from Lanark
Leave Lanark heading along Clyde Valley Tourist Route. Continue on this route and follow signs for M74. You will eventually climb out of the Clyde Valley and will head through Ashgill and Shawsburn. At the motorway slip road continue on under the bridge ahead. At the roundabout take 2nd exit – which is signposted A71 Stonehouse/Strathaven. At next roundabout take 2nd exit – Stonehouse Bypass – carry straight along this road and at end of Bypass take 2nd exit and carry straight on to Strathaven (approx 5 mins). As you enter Strathaven you will see a ruined Castle on left, take road going uphill on the right opposite Castle. Follow this road to its junction with main road and once more turn right – Hamilton Road is first on the left and the Hotel is 4th on the left along this road. The notice at the entrance says “leading to Beechwood Court”.
Directions from Glasgow
Join the M8 eastbound (Glasgow centre/Edinburgh) then follow signs for Carlisle. Exit M8 towards M73 to M74 and then take exit at Hamilton – Junction 6. At roundabout take 1st exit – takes you to a ‘T’ Junction. Stay in middle lane and road will swing round to the right, then take far left lane. At fourth set of lights take left (there is a filter lane) and carry straight on up the hill to Strathaven (7 miles – approx. 10 mins). As you approach Strathaven there is a roundabout – go straight through – we are second on the right. At the drive, there is a notice “leading to Beechwood Court”.

From Airport take A77 towards Glasgow. At Kilmarnock take A71 to Hurlford, then to Galston, Newmilns and Darvel. Keep on A71 towards Strathaven. On entering 30mph limit take 1st left. Go through 1st set of traffic lights and at second set turn right (to Hamilton). Take 2nd left – Hamilton Road – and Hotel is 4th left along this road.
Directions from Ayrshire
